Structure

SPB is responsible for providing entertaining and educational activities in the form of concerts, comedians, happy hours, game days and special events. These programs work to help create a more vibrant campus community and emphasize Student Union’s mission of service to the campus community and to the undergraduate students. SPB is responsive to the diverse interests and programming needs of the campus community.

Membership Director:

  • Assists the Student Union VP Programming in the overall coordination of SPB

  • Oversees the recruitment of the SPB Executive and General Boards

  • Manage the membership of SPB and maintain interest in the organization

  • Hold meeting of the SPB General Board, as needed

  • Serve as a member of SPB Leadership along with Student Union VP Programming and Finance Director

Finance Director:

  • Supervise all financial and budgeting activities within SPB

    • Track revenue and expenses for all SPB accounts

  • Submit the yearly budget request to the Student Union VP Finance and meet with them, as needed

  • Serve as a member of SPB Leadership along with Student Union VP Programming and Membership Director

Concerts Director:

  • Oversee the coordination of SPB concerts, including Fall and Spring WILD

  • Work with talent agency to coordinate the booking process for all performers

Speakers Director:

  • Oversee the coordination of SPB speaker events, including the Fall and Spring Comedy shows and the Trending Topics Speaker Series events

  • Work with talent agencies to coordinate the booking process for all performers

Happy Hour Director:

  • Oversee the coordination of recurring Happy Hour events

Campus Traditions Director:

  • Oversee the coordination of Game Day events

  • Oversee the conceptualization and implementation of special events

Productions Director:

  • Oversee the coordination of all production aspects (audio, visual, lights, staging, etc.) for all SPB events

  • Work closely with programming directors to coordinate safety efforts at all events

Promotions Director:

  • Oversee all communication between SPB and the undergraduate student body

  • Conceptualize and create all promotional materials for all SPB events

Outreach Director:

  • Oversee the coordination of all research for SPB, including student’ wants and needs and potential partnerships and sponsorships

  • Oversee the creation and implementation of SPB talent surveys
